Good Morning Men,
We’ve identified battles which are meaningful to us; ones worth fighting which further our mission and purpose in life. First off, it’s important to identify battles and causes which are on such a large scale, that one may make incredible progress, but may never solve the problem.
Being specific with ones larger goals, while also leaving room for the spirit of those goals to be captured in adjacent areas is an extremely important connection. We should be prepared if God willing, we actually achieve our massive objectives.
Granularly defining what success looks like, is also integral to sustained progress and purposeful living. When we specifically define what a successful outcome looks like, we can easily recognize it, reflect, and then pivot towards the adjacent goal.
Knowing what “day one” looks like is also extremely important. Too many men see retirement with a certain amount of money set aside by a certain age as success. What most fail to realize is exploring what winning the battle frees you up to pursue or experience.
When the battle ground has cooled, if only temporarily, for most men this will provide an opportunity to seek adventure. While we’re enjoying the fruits of success in our battles as we prepare to take on the next appropriate adversary, we can take this time to experience some of the wonders our world has to offer.
Do you understand what success looks like to you?
What will having one less battle on your plate free you to do?
